  • The spindizzies miniature racecars

    The 1930s saw the rise of hand built model racecars, known as spindizzies or tether cars. Miniature racecars built by hobbyists zoomed around banked wooden tracks at speeds approaching 150 miles per hour.  Powered by model airplane engines, spindizzies raced against the clock. Incredibly detailed and aerodynamic, these miniature racecars were beyond toys; they were pieces of art representative of the best pioneering technology of the era.     Constructed using original blueprints by Authentic Models this Bantam Midget replica resembles the original down to the smallest detail. The car is made in posihed aluminium and presents many details which make it a veritable jewel, like the brass rivetting, the wooden chassis or the detailed engine reproduction. It's a great piece of decoration which will standout in any kind of furnishing.

    We offer a premium version of the original Authentic Models's Bantam Midget Spindizzy. You have the possibility to personalise the car model by either adding some decorations on the tail and pair it with an exclusive hand made wooden box which is absolutelly a fantastic complement if you intend to make this piece of decoration an unforgetable gift.

     

    Car Personalisation

    You can personalise the car by adding your initials, name or even company logo inside the white circles placed on the tail of the car. The personalisation his hand painted by swiss Artist Sergio Simona. we do not use decals or any other transferable printed medium. Initials and names are written in calligraphic style, logos are reproduced by hand. Colours are always metalized brass/gold with black shadowing on white background.

    Premium and personalised wooden box

    The standard packaging of the model car consits in a normal cartboard box with polistirol cushioning to protect its content. If you would like to make a present and it's your desire to confer to your gift a more prestigious appeal you can pair it with our premium wooden box. The case is made of ash tree  wood and handcrafted by hand by artist Sergio Simona. Included in the price you have the possibility to either recieve the box with the Bliss from Baygone Dyas logo handpainted on the lid or any other writing or logo you may like. Colours are always metalized brass/gold with black shadowing.
