There’s food … and then there’s pasta. Let's take a glimpse into one of the most widely known and best-loved foods in the world.
Preparing homemade pasta is an activity that has been handed down in my family for generations. Cavatelli, maccheroni, spaghetti ... an outstanding pasta for every dish and everything was a recipe for happiness. I personally don't know how to make homemade pasta like my mother does - and her mother did before her - but since my life philosophy is that you are never too old to learn something new (learn something new everyday and you won't never age, as they say), this will be definitely my next hobby. Every recipe is steeped in history and recalls good tasting memories. Spaghetti with seafood has always been in the menu of my family's Christmas Eve dinner, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it is one of the tastiest and delicious pasta dishes I have ever eaten in my whole life.
“Everything you see I owe to spaghetti.
– Sophia Loren
Pasta is so versatile because you can create lots of different dishes with it with a variety of sauces. It also has a long shelf life, so you can keep it in the cupboard for a long time. That's why I call it meal saviour because you can always count on pasta whenever you need to put a meal together. You can have it as a main meal as well as a side dish. It can also come as a salad and it will be delicious as well! Not only it tastes so good, it is also relatively easy to cook. For all the reasons above, I love love pasta!
“Life is a combination of magic and pasta.”
- Federico Fellini
